Abstract117)      PDF(pc) (707KB)(233)       Save
The traditional Chinese materia medica is a distinctive discipline, inheriting and promoting the long-standing history of traditional Chinese medicine, and is a compulsory course for cultivating the comprehensive quality of students in Chinese medicine universities. Therefore, it is particularly important to integrate ideological and political elements relating to “confidence in traditional Chinese medicine culture” into curriculum design. Approaches include enhancing cognition of traditional Chinese medicine, telling stories about it, introducing traditional preparation methods, and drawing on related historical figures and events. These should be used as entry points to optimize curriculum setup, innovate teaching methods, strengthen practical teaching, and explore innovative teaching models for the Chinese materia medica course, thus cultivating pharmacy professionals with a solid foundation in traditional Chinese medicine culture and innovative capabilities for the pharmaceutical industry.

Abstract111)      PDF(pc) (796KB)(224)       Save
Pharmacology experiment is highly intellectual, practical, exploratory and creative, emphasizing the cultivation of students’ comprehensive abilities. However, in traditional experimental teaching, students overly rely on teachers' instructional slides explanation and demonstrations, and lack in-depth thinking about experiments, which makes it difficult to achieve the expected results. To address this issue, the reform takes students of two cohorts in pharmaceutical chemistry major as the research object, adopts the "5E" teaching model, guided by interest and inquiry, integrates scientific research application with experimental teaching based on the original teaching plan, sets up PAD class, guides students to actively think and discuss problems, makes full use of online resources, encourages students to study independently, and expands their knowledge. After implementing these reforms, a questionnaire survey and ability assessment were conducted to evaluate student outcomes. The final results demonstrated that the reform significantly improved students’ learning experience, particularly in scientific thinking and hands-on skills.

Abstract92)      PDF(pc) (714KB)(301)       Save

Instrumental analysis is a compulsory fundamental course for all majors in the School of Pharmacy at our university, with approximately 500 students enrolling in the course each year. This course is difficult to understand, covers a wide range of knowledge, involves extensive theoretical contents, requires strong practical skills, and has broad applications. However, due to the dual impact of the "New College Entrance Examination" and the "Reform of College Student Training Program", two major challenges have emerged: some students have not studied chemistry in high school and thus have weak foundational knowledge; classroom teaching hours have been reduced, making traditional classroom instruction insufficient to cover the course content effectively, let alone achieving good teaching results. To address these challenges, our teaching team has designed a multi-dimensional teaching approach from five aspects to create a "Five-Full" classroom - rich in intelligence, passion, interaction, challenge and ideological and political education.
