摘要：

笔者探讨了专门用途英语（ESP）如何在大学英语教学革新中应对全球化和专业化挑战，特别是在药学领域的教育应用。ESP作为针对特定职业和学术需求的英语教学途径，填补了通用英语（EGP）在专业性交流中的空白。通过分析沈阳药科大学外语部的模块化课程体系，阐释了如何通过结合通用、专门用途及跨文化英语，增效药学学生的专业英语学习。为适应国际化人才发展要求，大学英语必须进一步整合ESP，优化药学教育，促成学术与实践的紧密联动。

Abstract:

This paper explores how English for Specific Purposes (ESP) addresses the challenges of globalization and specialization in the innovation of university English teaching, with a particular focus on its educational applications in the field of pharmacy. As an approach to English teaching tailored to specific professional and academic needs, ESP fills the gap left by General English (EGP) in professional communication. By analyzing the modular curriculum system of the Foreign Languages Department at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, the paper illustrates how the integration of General English, ESP, and intercultural English can enhance the professional English learning of pharmacy students. To meet the development requirements of international talents, university English teaching must further incorporate ESP, optimize pharmaceutical education, and foster a close link between academia and practice.
