With the development of science and technology, the exchanges of culture and the situation changes at home and abroad, the ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities should play the role of fostering virtue through education, and attach importance to the value guide to students. President Xi Jinping's important exposition on the "Four Correct Understandings" at the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities is of great significance. As an important course of ideological and political theory in colleges and universities, Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics should integrate the "Four Correct Understandings" into the teaching materials and curriculum system, help students firmly establish Four Self-confidence and realize value guidance.
